A TekDeck can be installed on any combination of V-racks or Adventure Racks. Unlike the SnapDeck, the TekDeck clamps your racks together rather than forcing them apart - bringing your load closer to the center and resisting TekDeck pop-off.
The TekDeck weighs about half a SnapDeck, will never delaminate, is suitable for carrying one adult passenger, and is perfect for an Xtracycle touring adventure. Cut and bent from a single sheet of 7000 series aluminum, then anodized and laser etched, the TekDeck is a functional and futuristic addition to your cargo bike platform.
A few TekDecks came back from the factory with cosmetic blemishes. Rather than ship them on a slow boat back to China (Taiwan, officially), we figured we'd just move them out on clearance. They are all identical in shape, and there are no true dents or bends in these factory seconds, just areas where the silver anodizing didn't take, irregular surface texture, or minor scratches or dings. Truth be told, the TekDeck is not impervious to scratching once you get it, so if you're comfortable with it coming looking as though it was already a little worn in (think acid washed denim), then a blemished TekDeck is the TekDeck for you. The price, well, simply can't be beat.
Because each blemished TekDeck is truly unique in it's blemish pattern, we can't make any guarantees about what you're going to get. There's no refunds or replacements of these parts, which allows us to offer them to you the deep price break.
